On Mac
Tether for Mac is a direct download rather than an App Store app. If Tether told you to update, this is the fix — drag it over your existing copy in Applications and your account and settings carry over, so you can get straight back to the session.

Installing

Install Tether
On iPhone or iPad, open the App Store listing and hit Get. On Mac, take the
.dmgabove and drag Tether into your Applications folder. -
Sign in
Launch Tether and sign in with the same account you use for Studio.

Start capturing
Photos are resized, tagged, and uploaded to your workspace automatically, over Wi-Fi or cellular.
Checked by Apple
The iPhone and iPad builds go through App Review. The Mac download is signed and notarized, so macOS opens it without a Gatekeeper warning.
Updates itself
The App Store keeps iPhone and iPad current. On Mac, Tether checks on launch and tells you when a new version is ready.
